  • I’ve been reading an interesting, insightful, mesmerizing book called the Man Who Tells The Truth. A biography of Jimmy Breslin by Richard Esposito. Great and well written well recommended to everyone who seeks knowledge. It would be logically sound to take a course on martial arts. Knowing it would be time consuming and better in the long run for those who want to defend themselves. It is far better to do this than carrying a gun, Some states have a law called conceal and carry. People who carry guns are paranoid. Look at the endless cases of school shootings in this country. It is wicked. A place such as a school, a place of worship and grocery stores should be safe for citizens to carry on their daily lives. There too many guns in this country. The Congress should ban assault rifles and magazines. There was a ban 10 ago and the murder rate went down considerably. And of course, are ghost guns that one may assemble over the internet. Martial arts would make more sense; Let’s not overlook the stray bullets that carelessly hit and strikes children in their own beds by people who are in fights. Let’s work together as a nation to have a better view of those in other countries who are fine examples, Let’s work together to be a peaceful nation.

  • Today, the sky is grey, cloudy and raining. A typical autumn day. In defense of doctors, both in general practice and specialists: they all have their own personalities and do their best to assist their patients. Afterall, medicine is a science. In some cases, there are diseases that relates to other diseases and the doctors aren’t aware of it. The other day I gave away all of Oreo’s belongings. It was quite hard. Kidney disease is in people as well as in cats. It’s very common. Was asking the vet on Monday Why? Of course she didn’t give a definitive answer. There was a kidney patient in Chicago that needed a new kidney and the doctors had a kidney from a pig and they inserted it into this dialysis patient and hi was ok for the time being. And unfortunately the kidney was rejected. In diabetic patients there is insulin that is taken and injected into the pancreas. There are types of insulin. One type of called Humulin and this comes from a pig. There are advances in diseases, yet it doesn’t come fast enough. People donate amounts of money to their causes. I would like to have dialysis be obsolete. Then the researchers would be able to move on the another disease. That would satisfy the researcher who gives their best.

  • A very rainy day is in store here. In actuality here is concerned a drought as no rain as appeared for a long time.. Yesterday was a very sad day for me. Went to an appointment that was scheduled at 4;30 for sweet baby Oreo. Much earlier he was sitting on Andre’s minor table and just looking sad and depressed just looking straight forward. I knew that he missed Andre terribly. I just had a feeling that he did. I, of course spoke gently to him’: and said that I missed him too. He would cheer up a little knowing I cared for him as well. Then I went about doing my daily activities always being aware of Oreo. He would act ok going from window to window and doing what cats generally do. I had several appointments that were important and thinking I should take Oreo to a vet for a general checkup.. He would then sit on the air conditioner and just stare. He was still eating and doing things naturally. He would want to go down in the basement and on occasion. I thought it was ok, better than being outside. Then Oreo stopped eating. He would hide in a couple of closets in the kitchen. I began to be overly concerned to needed to take him to a vet. I looked up to see a reason why a cat wasn’t eating. He said it could be kidney disease. I was sad just knowing about that possibility. Went to Animal Intermediate Care yesterday. The vet examined Oreo and she said his body is shutting down. And Oreo was in pain. She asked if euthanasia would be an option. And I said yes. So she got the stuff there to perform it. I was holding him then I put him on the table and the vet did this. I began to cry without stopping. I cried for Andre, Oreo and David. The cremation was done and Oreo’s ashes will be spread on Rainbow Bridge. When I got home I collected the cat dishes from the kitchen and took his toys and put them in his carrier. Will give his dry food, his wet food, his treats to Donna, who has 4 cats and a dog. I have a ton of photos of Oreo and I’ll recall the good times. There were many.

  • Today is simply beautiful with clear sunny skies and unusual warm temperatures. Am still reading my book in fact I’m halfway finished. It’s very good. My sweet baby Oreo hasn’t eaten and I’m concerned. He is now seven years old. I have to carry him because he has trouble walking. So finding a vet is a major hassle. They are all booked up and can’t take any more animals. Adam called many places as I have. One wants a deposit of $165.00 to even make an appointment. Adam wanted my debit card number and I of course was hesitant and rightfully so. After calling Donna and discussing the conversation. I called Adam and left a voice message and with that gave him the number. Now Oreo and I have an appointment today at 4:30. Checked to see if the place was fine and it is. Andre and I got Oreo at the Verona animal shelter and he was sucking his tail then, Now he doesn’t, Just want Oreo to be ok. This is my 24th blog and I really like wordpress a great deal. Am able to express my thoughts freely. I might add to this that I blogged 756 blogs earlier this year so it would be awesome to have the blogs combined. Now this is my 800th blogs. Its under the title of a radiohead song called myxomatosis. I would feel better about it. Thanks so very much,

  • Actually the cooler breezes are underway as this next season is now upon us. Finished Breslin Essential Writings Now reading a fabulous book by Richard Esposito The Man Who Told The Truth. A biography of Jimmy Breslin. Now to the subject at hand. Many people are rightfully dissatisfied with the country of their birthplace. They travel to America in hopes of a better place to reside and raise their growing family. These places in which they make long terrible, horrendous dangerous journeys through rough surroundings, through pitch black dark tunnels: and the everlasting heat is courageous and commendable. Only to find a better safer life for themselves and family. These people are called. immigrants. They make long walks from Sudan, Mexico, the South American countries, The Holy Land, Including Palestine, and Afghanistan. Years ago I viewed a movie called The Immigrant. with the French Actress Marion Cotillard. Its eighty percent true and its of the Director’s grandparents in the 1900s. Speaking of Palestine there’s Intifada which means rebellion or shake off. There’s not a thing wrong about it. Speaking of Mexico Jimmy Breslin wrote a well eye opening book called The Short Sweet Dream of Eduardo Daniel Gutierriz and its sensational and knowledgeable. Immigrants just want asylum and protection. That’s all they ask. Speaking of Afghanistan , this country helped the Americans a great deal. These Afghans were translators for the Americans during a 10 year war. And my intention isn’t to be political in any way shape or form. I just think the best way is to give people the decency and respect and love regardless of where their birthplace is.

  • What a very warm day it is surprisingly. As far as vaccines are concerned, you must be intuitive. Pay no attention to what the government has to say on this subject. Childhood diseases such as mumps, measles, rubella, or for that matter any other childhood diseases related to childhood, for instance polio. Its important to be aware of this and take proper precaution against this. Speaking of sodium its essential to have the right amount of sodium in the body for it to work properly. A good amount of Americans have too much sodium and there are ads for this, However some people have low sodium including myself. Therefore I must have more sodium in my diet and of course have the sodium level measured by having the blood drawn by a nurse to have the right level. Now speaking of amyloids. there are many amyloids found in the human body. Such as the brain, eyes, and other places, Too many amyloids can definitely cause problems. My son, Andre had amyloidosis and it affected his kidneys. The best advice to research these subjects and have intuition about it.

  • Seems like its summer in September with endless sunny warm days and cooler nights. Its wonderful traveling weather. Gotten many things done which is what I expected. First to mention I found a chain that I had.so I took something off it and now I put what Andre had given me on my birthday several years ago. Its my birth stone which is green, an emerald that’s surrounded by diamonds. Now I have it around my neck and show it off as I wear it. Then I sent some luggage to my second cousin Scott and his wife. She teacher school. It should arrive by Tuesday, I sent it by Fedex. and it was very easy . So I’ll begin to use it instead of the local post office. Got Ian and Michele’s new address in Pa. So when I have a chance I’ll send the last of Andre’s hockey collection. I’ve got an eye appointment next Friday and Adam will take me there. We’ll go early because I will first go to cvs to pick up my blood pressure medicine. Adam still wants Andre’s minor saw that he made cassette tables. Have heard from many friends and relatives which some I haven’t heard from in a while. Still been reading my excellent book. Essentially written which is wonderful and there’s all great things about it. It’s actual history that I lived through and I would think everyone should read it and benefit by it. Life is good.

  • Luckily the weather is holding on nicely with warm sunny days and cooler nights. Just opened a bottle of Brisk Tea! For three days I tried and it refused to open. I called a friend, and she said to run it under hot water and it will loosen. While I was speaking to her, I ran it under hot water and sure enough it became loosened and I put it in 3 plastic drinking cups and put it in the refrigerator. Felt glad that was accomplished. There are other things that are on the horizon too. I have 3 doctor appointments this month and next, Adam is kind enough to take me there. I called him earlier this month actually it was the first of September. When I went to the grocery I just focused on food as far as the sodium is concerned. I made my own creation, which was spaghetti, garden sauce and shrimp. Its splendid and I will have it again. Another project is sending a present to Scott and Judy I might add that they are 2 pieces of luggage and its difficult to find a box for these. Hope a flat box will do.. I am reading a great book, Essential Writings Breslin The library of Congress. It is sensational. Actually started the same day I received it.

  • The weather here is cloudy with very dark clouds! Looks like it will rain before the day is done. The other day I had a glass jar of pickles and gently tapped it on the counter and it opened. Then ordered a couple of books that I have been wanting from amazon and had a time however with not giving up, it was shipped today and should arrive tomorrow! Then I was doing my French app and after a while the door was unlocked so I may do more French at my leisure. Some things are my quiet times of the day!

  • Here I am feeling fantastic! Have to comment on Dr Matthew Nelson at St. Johns rehab place. Had a brief conversation with him. It was on the subject of thursdur! It was on my chart that I personally didn’t know what it is and why it was my chart. He just explained it. He said ” when you pee all the liquid comes out including the sodium” So now I don’t have that! Though have to make sure! It was listed as an allergy on my chart. So I have to thank this doctor for noticing this. There was another time that I had low sodium and it was apparently when a doctor recommended a strong blood pressure that had a long name and began with the letter C. Apparently this blood pressure bill was highly used by many people. This blood pressure pill had a very bad reaction to my body! This was a stupid thing that this doctor did! Am now eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day. Seems that I am eating more than before, including a variety of soups. I asked questions with the nutritionist or the doctors office. Still nobody has come to the house. I asked them and it will take a month. However I’m doing everything possible to keep healthy and exercising twice daily. I’ve got an appointment with Dr. Dahl on the first of October. Before that I’ve got an appointment with Dr Plotnick and then in October have an appointment with Dr. Leanna Eduardo. Then I have to get an appointment with the dentist, There is so much I need to do, stretching out in different directions. Thats really what life is all about. Keeping busy and positive! And always Andre is giving me strength!

    I like this blog!
